Five favorite Christmas Albums

Well it’s that time again! This top five favorite Friday is featuring some of the best Christmas music. I’ve shared before some of my favorite gifts and such, but today I thought I’d give you a peak and some newer Christmas music that is quickly becoming a staple in my iPod and my cd changer. (and I even listen to it while I work out). With it being Friday the 13th (cue scary music) and a holiday season, I am in a giving mood. So I’ll be giving one of my favorites away….all you have to do is share below what your favorite Christmas album (or song if you cannot think of a full album) is and you’ll be entered.

1. A Neighborly Christmas by Drew Holcomb and the Neighbors
I woke up with their version of “Joy to the World” in my head this morning. I seriously love this album from beginning to end. If you don’t have it snag it now.

2. Snow globe by Matt Wertz
I saw Matt perform his Christmas album two years ago in concert. It was so lovely and he comes off so soulful on stage with these songs. You’ll be singing along to the song Snowglobe when you least expect it…I do often when I’m at work…in June.

3. A Very Merry Christmas by Dave Barnes
I have had this album since it came out years ago and I still pull it out each holiday season. I Pray on Christmas is easily my favorite on the album. And if you haven’t seen his promo video for his new Christmas album, check it out here. Seriously, cried laughing the entire time.

4. Wrapped in Red by Kelly Clarkson
Well this just replaced Mariah Carey’s Christmas album as my favorite female album! Underneath The Tree has me singing in my car, and thinking I am a professional singer…no worries Kelly, I ain’t by a long shot. I love this album so much, and it also is worth saying I think Kelly and I would be fast friends. juuuuust saying

5. Seryn and Friends Christmas by Seryn and Friends
A lot of people may not have heard of them, but this album is a must in any Christmas music collection! I typically have it blasting while I work out. yes I work out to Christmas music, it’s motivating….you try it first! it definitely isn’t your typical Christmas album but that’s okay sometimes.

What is a favorite album of yours that is not the traditional album? And everyone loves the Muppets sing Christmas with John Denver, so you have to pick something else! Share below in the comments and you are entered to win one of the albums above (if there’s a specific album above you want to win, share that too!)! Winner will be announced on Monday!

  1. Hello! I came across your blog from Single Roots. I would love to win any of these albums, aside from Snow Globe (only because I just bought that one last week!). My favorite Christmas album is North Point Christmas: Let There Be Light. I will also never tire of Mariah Carey’s All I Want for Christmas is You, song-wise. It’s such a fun throwback/classic.
