I am going to Honduras exactly one year from yesterday! There aren’t enough words to convey my excitement and joy in being able to share this with you all. I have recently sponsored a child through Mission Lazarus, which CrossPoint Church has teamed up with here in Nashville. I have a young girl who is eight years old. We do not have much communication due to Mission Lazarus’s guidelines for safety on both sides of the sponsorship, but I know that I am assisting a family in caring for themselves.
This was a big step for me as I was torn about whether to go back to Haiti once more this summer or step out and go to Honduras. As I prayed and sought counsel, I realized God had the plan already in place and that I needed to be obedient. He’s pretty good about doing that when I feel a bit disheveled on decisions. The team has it’s first meeting this Sunday to discuss everything, and begin to plan fundraising. I am planning to blog extensively about this trip (as I have done with both Haiti and Mexico) so that’s where you come in! I would love if you would be in prayer for the entire team throughout the next year. We have alot of time to raise funds, but also alot of time to become complacent and undergo spiritual warfare.
If you would like to donate, as I will be fundraising through various efforts throughout the year, you can give securely and safely here. This is my personal account for the team trip.
Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, and teachingthem to obey everything I have commanded you. And surely I am with youalways, to the very end of the age. Matthew 28:19-20
